Doctor

Dr. Roa grew up in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. He received his bachelor science major in biology in Cebu Doctors University, Philippines. He attended Dr. Jose P. Rizal School of Medicine in the Philippines and graduated with his medical degree in 2000. Once he attained his Philippine medical license, Dr. Roa served as a community doctor in a six bed community hospital financed by the local government. There he treated people from all ages with a variety of ailments, which included minor surgeries and obstetric care.

In 2002, Dr. Roa together with his wife, migrated to the United States to pursue their individual academic and career advancements. He completed his pediatric residency at Flushing Hospital Center, NY, which also included a year of chief residency. Dr. Roa then continued to be on the teaching staff of the pediatric residency training program at flushing hospital as an ER attending physician.

Dr. Roa attained his board certification in pediatrics in 2008. Aside from his responsibilities in the hospital, he has been an associate pediatrician in Advanced Pediatrics in Elmhurst NY until he became part of Glendale Pediatrics.

Dr. Roa and his wife, Golda, reside in Long Island. Outside of work, they stay busy with their two children, Frances and Reiley. Dr. Roa enjoys the challenges and rewards of being a father and enjoys spending time with his family.

Dr. Roa loves his work as a pediatrician and values his relationships with his patients and families. His goal is to form a special bond with your child as well as partnering with patients and their families to provide comprehensive quality care from birth through adolescence.
